Volleyball Recap: Osborne Comes Up Short

The Osborne Cardinals came up short against the Atlanta Classical Academy Cavaliers on Thursday and fell 2-0. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-10.

Mina Ly paced Osborne's offense, picking up two kills. Ly got some help from Sofia Gomez and her two assists. Gomez also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Julianis Facey, racking up three apiece.

Osborne's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Atlanta Classical Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-5.

Osborne has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Pebblebrook on the 9th. As for Atlanta Classical Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against St. Mary's Academy on the 8th.
