Hickory Ridge has gone 8-1 against West Cabarrus recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Hickory Ridge Ragin' Bulls will look to defend their home court against the West Cabarrus Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. West Cabarrus took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Hickory Ridge, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Hickory Ridge strolled past Cox Mill with points to spare, taking the game 65-48. Given the Ragin' Bulls' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 78th, while the Chargers are ranked 277th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, West Cabarrus ended up a good deal behind Mooresville on Friday and lost 72-54. The Wolverines were down 53-32 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Hickory Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points over those games. As for West Cabarrus, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-11.
