Baseball Game Preview: Montgomery County Wildcats vs. Linn Wildcats

We've got a battle between Wildcats coming up. The last five games Montgomery County has played (dating back to last season) have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Saturday, Montgomery County didn't have quite enough to beat Duchesne and fell 4-2.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Linn's offense. They fell just short of Eugene by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Wildcats have suffered since April 24, 2024.

Linn's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Montgomery County, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Everything went Montgomery County's way against Linn when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Montgomery County made off with an 11-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Montgomery County since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
