Volleyball Recap: Parkland Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Parkland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They came up short against the Northwest Guilford Vikings, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

While Parkland was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Northwest Guilford's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-4, 25-14, 25-19.

Northwest Guilford can attribute much of their success to Cali Straub, who had six aces and three digs. That's the most aces Straub has posted since back in August.

Parkland's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Northwest Guilford, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Parkland is set to take on their familiar foe West Forsyth at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Northwest Guilford will face off against rival R.J. Reynolds at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
