Basketball Recap: Forest Takes a Loss

Forest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 43-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northeast Jones Tigers. The Bearcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 46-29.

Forest's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Northeast Jones, the victory snapped their losing streak at nine games and leaves them with a 4-16 record.

Forest and Northeast Jones could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings. Forest (ranked 181st) will meet Mendenhall (ranked 41st) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Northeast Jones will face off against Quitman at 7:30 p.m. on Monday down 192 places (245 vs. 53).
