Heritage is a perfect 10-0 against Knightdale since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Huskies will host the Knights at 4:00 p.m. Heritage is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.

Heritage fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Wakefield on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 15-10 to the Wolverines. The loss continues a trend for the Huskies in their meetings with the Wolverines: they've now lost seven in a row.

Hayden Callahan and Gianna Deverna stepped up to the plate in a big way. Callahan went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs and one double, while Deverna went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Janiah Vargas, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Knightdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Millbrook, falling 16-1. That's two games in a row now that the Knights have lost by exactly 15 runs.

Knightdale's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Heritage, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.

Heritage took their victory against Knightdale when the teams last played last Monday by a conclusive 20-3 score. Will the Huskies repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
