Flag Football Recap: La Sierra Takes a Loss

La Sierra was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 24-19 heartbreaker at the hands of the Loma Linda Academy Roadrunners. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Roadrunners earlier this season, when they won 19-0.

La Sierra's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Loma Linda Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. La Sierra will head out to take on Patriot at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors' defense has only allowed 13.2 points per game this season, so the Eagles' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Loma Linda Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Norte Vista at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Roadrunners 14.4, the Braves 7.9) so any points scored will be well earned.
