Preview: Fox Creek Predators vs. Batesburg-Leesville Panthers
Fox Creek has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Batesburg-Leesville Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Fox Creek focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 30 on Thursday.
Last Thursday, Fox Creek didn't have too much trouble with Pelion at home as they won 46-28. The victory was just what Fox Creek needed coming off of a 73-6 defeat in their prior game.
Fox Creek found their leader in underclassman Maya Kryshtalowych, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 18 rebounds. Kryshtalowych has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Jada Jennings, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Batesburg-Leesville, who are still winless after their 12th matchup. They took a serious blow against Strom Thurmond on Wednesday, falling 54-19. Batesburg-Leesville has not had much luck with Strom Thurmond recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Fox Creek's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-11. As for Batesburg-Leesville, they bumped their record down to 0-12 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home.
Fox Creek was dealt a bruising 62-30 defeat at the hands of Batesburg-Leesville in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Fox Creek avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
