Football Recap: Benedictine's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

Benedictine blew Lake Catholic out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Lake Catholic got their revenge. The Bengals fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 6-3. The matchup marked the Bengals' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Benedictine fell to 4-1. As for Lake Catholic, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Benedictine will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lutheran East at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. As for Lake Catholic, they will face off against Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Royals' defense has only allowed six points per game this season, so the Cougars' offense will have their work cut out for them.
