Baseball Recap: Maryvale Prep Takes a Loss

Maryvale Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They came up short against the Antelope Rams, falling 11-1.

Maryvale Prep saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andy Quintero, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. Quintero is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Maryvale Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Antelope, the win snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 8-9 record.

Maryvale Prep has already played their next contest, a 14-0 loss against Desert Heights Prep on the 25th. As for Antelope, they will challenge Bagdad at 2:00 p.m. on May 3. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Sultans have averaged an impressive 9.9 runs per game this season.
