Kansas All-State Boys Basketball Team presented by Suddenlink

One of the top high school football players in the state last fall, Xavier Bell also proved he's the top basketball player in the state.

After leading Central to a Class 5A state championship last year, Bell and his teammates exited the state tournament in the first round with a loss to Basehor-Linwood. However, Bell improved on all of his stats from last year when he was an all-state selection.

Averaging 20.4 points per game as a junior, Bell upped his total by over four points to 24.6 points per outing to go with 7.3 rebounds per game. He has committed to play at Drexel next season and is our 2019-20 Suddenlink Kansas Player of the Year.



He headlines a three-team unit that consists of 15 players. Only players at KSHSAA-affiliated schools were considered for inclusion.

Jackie Johnson, Southeast (Wichita)

The leading scorer in Kansas according to the MaxPreps leaderboards, Johnson averaged 28.4 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.5 assists for the season. He already has over 1,000 career points.

Xavier Bell, Central (Andover)

Considered one of the top recruits in Kansas, Bell led Central to a state tournament berth while averaging 24.6 points, and 7.3 rebounds per game.

Jack Johnson, Andover

Johnson helped lead Andover to a 23-0 record and the second round of the Class 5A playoffs. He averaged 19.1 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.

Gradey Dick, Collegiate (Wichita)

A Kansas recruit and USA Basketball trialist, Dick is a 5-star recruit who averaged 20.4 points and led Wichita Collegiate to the second round of the Class 3A playoffs.

Steele Chapman, Haysville Campus (Wichita)

One half of a brother tandem to helped lead Haysville Campus to the best record in Class 6A at 23-0 and the first berth in the state tournament since 1996.

Sterling Chapman, Haysville Campus (Wichita)

Along with brother Steele, Sterling has helped Haysville post one of the best records in school history. He also had 26 points in his team's state tournament win over Manhattan.



Lonell Lane, Harmon (Kansas City)

One of the top recruits in Kansas for the Class of 2021, Lane helped Harmon to a 20-3 record while averaging 16.9 points, 5.9 assists and 2.7 steals.

KT Raimey, Olathe North (Olathe)

One of the Sunflower League's top players for the past three seasons, Raimey averaged close to 20 points the past two seasons.

Mark Mitchell, Bishop Miege (Shawnee Mission)

The Eastern Kansas League MVP as a sophomore, Mitchell averaged 21.6 points, 8.7 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game.

Tamar Bates, Piper (Kansas City)

Bates led Piper to a 23-1 record and a spot in the second round of the Class 4A playoffs. He averaged 22.1 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game.

Named the Player of the Year in the United Kansas Conference, Davila helped lead the Bobcats to a 20-2 record and the second round of the Class 5A playoffs.

A key member on Blue Valley North West's last two state championship teams, Chapman was a first-team All-EKL performer as a junior.

Gavyn Elkamil, Pittsburg

A unanimous all-league choice in the Southeast Kansas League, Elkamil averaged 24.6 points and 12.5 rebounds per game.
