McKeel Academy waltzed into their match on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They took down the Plant City Raiders 52-38.

Despite the defeat, Plant City saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Harmoney Ford posted seven points along with six rebounds and five steals. Ford is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Alexi Alvarez, who put up six points.

McKeel Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-10 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.0 points per game. As for Plant City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-14.

McKeel Academy will challenge Lake Highland Prep on Thursday. Lake Highland Prep will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something McKeel Academy surely won't give up without a fight. Plant City has already played their next game (against Newsome), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
