Recap: North Forsyth Raiders vs. Gainesville Red Elephants
The North Forsyth Raiders lost against the Gainesville Red Elephants back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. North Forsyth was dealt a 41-14 loss at the hands of Gainesville. While losing is never fun, North Forsyth can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 118th, while Gainesville is ranked 12th).
Although North Forsyth took the loss, they still got scores from Jacob Shirley and Nate Gravitt.
Gavin Hall was his usual excellent self, rushing for 302 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 15.9 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Eric Hart, who picked up 55 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
North Forsyth now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Gainesville, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
North Forsyth will be playing in front of their home fans against Apalachee at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Apalachee comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Gainesville, they will head out on the road to face off against Jackson County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Jackson County is on a four-game streak of home wins, Gainesville a ten-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field.
