Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Detroit Country Day walked away with it. Their defense stepped up to hand the Grosse Ile Red Devils a 2-0 shutout on Tuesday. Give Detroit Country Day's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Detroit Country Day has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five contests. As for Grosse Ile, their loss dropped their record down to 14-6-2.

Coming up, Detroit Country Day will challenge Regina on Thursday. Regina will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Detroit Country Day surely won't give up without a fight. Grosse Ile does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
