Dasani Newsome leads Menendez to victory over Deltona

Recap: Menendez Falcons vs. Deltona Wolves
The Menendez Falcons won against the Deltona Wolves last Monday with 46 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. Menendez snuck past Deltona with a 46-42 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Menendez.
Dasani Newsome was the offensive standout of the game as she dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jakayla Newsome, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Menendez has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Deltona, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-4.
Menendez won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Bolles at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th. Hopefully Bolles focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 30 last Wednesday. Deltona won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Vanguard at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. Vanguard will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 453rd, while Deltona is ranked 101st).
