Josh Flores posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he struck out 12 batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

Flores' strong effort led Lake Central over Portage and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
