Basketball Recap: Vernon Takes a Loss

Vernon suffered their biggest loss since December 5, 2023 on Tuesday. They were dealt a 68-39 defeat at the hands of the Memorial Mavericks. The matchup marked the Lions' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Vernon fell to 4-1. As for Memorial, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.

Vernon will be taking part in a tournament against Quanah at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Memorial, they will take on West Hardin in a tournament on Thursday.
