Baseball Recap: Edwards Takes a Loss

Edwards was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 20-5 to the Humphreys County Cowboys. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cowboys this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-3 back in March.

Edwards' loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Humphreys County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Edwards will take on North Side at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Humphreys County, they will square off against Yazoo County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
