The Jordan Warriors will take on the Stratford Spartans at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Jordan is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 45-13 victory over Foster. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 347th, while the Falcons are ranked 846th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jordan to victory, but perhaps none more so than Patrick Spann, who rushed for 75 yards and a pair of TDs. Spann has been hot recently, having also posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last three times he's played. Landon Williams was in the mix as well, providing Jordan with two touchdowns.
Jordan didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Foster to a completion percentage of just 20%. The Warriors weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 65%.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Stratford). Everything went their way against Heights on Saturday as they made off with a 55-35 win. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won four games by 20 points or more so far this season.
Stratford's win came from a few key players Jordan will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Cody Hanlen, who picked up 203 receiving yards and four scores. He was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 53 yards. Matthew Selesky was another key player, throwing for 214 yards and four TDs while completing 83.3% of his passes.
One reason for the win was Stratford's imposing defensive line, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Leading the way was Bradley Olivera with two. He also made six total tackles, which is notable because Stratford is 4-2 when he posts at least four total tackles, but 1-4 otherwise. The Spartans got some further help from Jaxson Blundell: he made 18 total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defended one pass.
The victory was the third in a row for Jordan, bringing their record up to 8-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.3 points on average over those games. As for Stratford, their record is now 5-6.
Everything went Jordan's way against Stratford when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as Jordan made off with a 31-10 victory. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Spartans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
