Basketball Recap: Mcalester Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

McAlester won the last time they faced Pryor and things went their way on Friday too. The McAlester Buffaloes came out on top against the Pryor Tigers by a score of 63-53. Given the Buffaloes' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 167th, while the Tigers are ranked 343rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

McAlester's victory bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Pryor, they dropped their record down to 3-20 with the loss, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season.

McAlester has already played their next contest (against Tahlequah), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Pryor, they have already played their next match, a 60-40 defeat against Durant on the 15th.
