Basketball Game Preview: Cave City Cavemen vs. Bergman Panthers

The Cave City Cavemen will take on the Bergman Panthers in a holiday battle at at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Cave City came up short against Valley Springs on Tuesday, falling 56-30. While losing is never fun, the Cavemen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 174th, while the Tigers are ranked 21st).

Bergman has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. The contest between them and Mountain View didn't end well, with Bergman falling 64-50. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by exactly 14 points.

Cave City's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Bergman, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
