Softball Recap: Deer Valley Skyhawks vs. Agua Fria Owls
Deer Valley had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They blew past the Agua Fria Owls 22-6. The Skyhawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Owls, too.
Giuliana Hughes made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs.
