Tidehaven and Santa Gertrudis Academy squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Tidehaven had to settle for second. They came up short against the Lions, falling 16-10. The Tigers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Addison Duckett was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kayleigh Nash, who went 1-for-5 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Tidehaven's loss dropped their record down to 21-14. As for Santa Gertrudis Academy, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 27-8.

While Tidehaven had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
