Basketball Recap: Victory Prep Academy Takes a Loss

Victory Prep Academy lost against Lotus School For Excellence back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Victory Prep Academy Knights lost 43-23 to the Lotus School For Excellence Meteors. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Victory Prep Academy still got an impressive performance from Ariana Orozco, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 12 rebounds. That was a full 43.5% of Victory Prep Academy's points, marking the fourth time in a row Orozco has posted more than a third of the team's points.

Victory Prep Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Lotus School For Excellence, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-14.

Looking ahead, Victory Prep Academy will venture away from home to face off against Vanguard Classical East at 4:30 p.m. on February 28th. As for Lotus School For Excellence, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Addenbrooke Classical Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Addenbrooke Classical Academy will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Lotus School For Excellence surely won't give up without a fight.
