Baseball Recap: Roswell Takes a Loss

Roswell lost against Carlsbad on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Coyotes came up short against the Cavemen/Cavegirls, falling 7-1. That's two games in a row now that the Coyotes have lost by exactly six runs.

Roswell saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Savino Sanchez, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Roswell and nudges their season record down to 9-14. As for Carlsbad, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Roswell will square off against rival Clovis at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Carlsbad is set to take on their familiar foe Hobbs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
