Softball Recap: Holmes Takes a Loss

If Holmes was riding high fresh off their 17-0 takedown of Northeastern on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Holmes lost 10-0 to the Perquimans Pirates on Wednesday. The game marked the first time this season in which the Aces were not able to get on the board.

With the loss, Holmes broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-3. As for Perquimans, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

Looking ahead, Holmes will be playing in front of their home fans against Pasquotank County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Holmes is facing Pasquotank County at the right time seeing as Pasquotank County is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Perquimans, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 6-4 defeat against Greenbrier Christian Academy on the 22nd.
