Conner Scheetz posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He also allowed no hits, which is notable because Lexington is 2-1 when he allows at most one hit, but 8-16 otherwise.

Scheetz's strong effort led Lexington over Tanner and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rattlers are limping into the matchup having lost 14 straight on the road dating back to last season.
