Baseball Recap: Kelley Comes Up Short

Kelley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Moose Lake/Willow River Rebels, falling 12-2. If the Mariners were looking for revenge after losing 12-8 to the Rebels when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kelley's loss dropped their record down to 2-6-1. As for Moose Lake/Willow River, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, Kelley and Moose Lake/Willow River will both be playing Cook County the next time they take the field. The Rebels will head out to face the Vikings at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, while the Mariners will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
