Cassie Dulude spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits.
At the plate, Sylvie Patterson and Ella Grimley did most of the damage at the plate: Patterson went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Grimley went 2-for-5 with one home run and four RBI. Those two runs gave Patterson a new career-high. Mackenzie Pimentel was another key player, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
La Salle Academy pushed their record up to 9-0 with the win, which was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season. East Providence's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: La Salle Academy has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10 hits per game. La Salle Academy took their victory against East Providence in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 15-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
