Basketball Recap: Simpson Takes a Loss

Simpson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They took a blow against the Hornbeck Hornets, falling 66-26. The Broncos lost against the Hornets in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 57-44 score last time.

Simpson's loss dropped their record down to 8-20. As for Hornbeck, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Simpson will host Elizabeth at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hornbeck, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Stanley at 5:00 p.m.
