Softball Recap: Brownstown Central Braves vs. Eastern Musketeers
There's no place like home for Brownstown Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Eastern Musketeers on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Braves, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Shyla Steele tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.
On the hitting side, Brooke Meahl and Olivia Justice did most of the damage at the plate: Meahl scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4, while Justice went 2-for-4 with five RBI and two doubles. That's the most stolen bases Meahl has posted since back in April of 2024. Alex Davidson was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.
