Soccer Recap: Madrid Takes a Loss

Madrid fell victim to Roosevelt and their airtight defense on Saturday. They came up short against the Roughriders, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Madrid can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa soccer rankings (they are ranked 84th, while Roosevelt are ranked 19th).

Madrid's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Roosevelt, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Madrid didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-0 victory against Lincoln on the 12th. As for Roosevelt, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Perry on the 12th.
