Volleyball Game Preview: Collegiate Medicine & Bioscience Owls vs. Westminster Christian Wildcats

The Collegiate Medicine & Bioscience Owls are taking a road trip to challenge the Westminster Christian Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Westminster Christian took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Collegiate Medicine & Bioscience, who comes in off a win.

Collegiate Medicine & Bioscience took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Clayton, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Owls sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Greyhounds on Tuesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Owls as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Collegiate Medicine & Bioscience was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (101-100), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 15-25, 25-19, 20-25, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Westminster Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Lutheran South, falling 3-0.

Westminster Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Collegiate Medicine & Bioscience, their win bumped their record up to 7-8-1.

Collegiate Medicine & Bioscience suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Westminster Christian in their previous matchup back in April of 2023. Can the Owls avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
