Volleyball Recap: Scott Takes a Loss

Scott lost against Sherman back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Skyhawks lost 3-0 to the Tide. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Skyhawks have suffered since November 6, 2024.

While Scott was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-11, 25-22.

Sherman's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sophia Rollo, who had 21 kills, eight digs, and one block. Rollo is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had seven or more in each of the last 53 games she's played dating back to last season. Emma Russell was another key player, getting 30 assists and six digs.

This is the second loss in a row for Scott and nudges their season record down to 5-9. As for Sherman, they pushed their record up to 14-4-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Scott will host Point Pleasant at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sherman, they will venture away from home to take on Man at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
