Soccer Game Preview: AGBU vs. Milken

AGBU is 0-9 against Milken since December of 2014 but things could change on Thursday. The AGBU Titans will venture away from home to challenge the Milken Wildcats at 4:15 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

AGBU is headed into the match without a loss and will look to keep things rolling. They were the clear victor by a 5-1 margin over de Toledo on Tuesday. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 5-0.

AGBU hit de Toledo with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Matthew Nahapetian (2), Andre Kanberian (2), and Haig Jarekian.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Milken). They never let Pilibos onto the board and left with an 8-0 victory on Tuesday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Wildcats with their most commanding win of the season.

AGBU's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-0-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those four games. As for Milken, the victory got them back to even at 3-3-3.

AGBU came up short against Milken in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 5-3. Can AGBU avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
