Softball Game Preview: Goldendale Timberwolves vs. River View Panthers

Goldendale hasn't had much luck against River View recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Timberwolves will be playing at home against the Panthers at 3:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

On Friday, Goldendale didn't have quite enough to beat Granger and fell 21-20. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (11), the Timberwolves still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, River View entered their tilt with Tri-Cities Prep on Friday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. They never let the Jaguars get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 19 contests by ten runs or more this season.

Bree Stacy was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, two stolen bases, and three runs. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Courtney Morris, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and three RBI.

River View was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .625. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .321 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

River View pushed their record up to 19-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Goldendale, their loss dropped their record down to 3-13.
