Lynchburg-Clay is a perfect 8-0 against Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Mustangs will host the Blue Jays at 10:00 a.m. The timing is sure in Lynchburg-Clay's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington has been banged up by 17 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Saturday: Lynchburg-Clay hadn't allowed a single run the last five times they've hit the field. The Mustangs' pitcher stepped up to hand Chillicothe a 5-0 shutout on Wednesday.

Not much got past Cole Wells, who gave up just three hits and racked up 14 Ks to keep Chillicothe off the board. Wells has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Quin Wells was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Tanner Roberts, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington's offense. They lost 11-0 to Fayetteville-Perry on Friday.

Lynchburg-Clay's victory bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.

Everything went Lynchburg-Clay's way against Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Lynchburg-Clay made off with a 15-4 win.
