Basketball Recap: Thursday's Victory Is Penn's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

While Penn has struggled at home with three straight losses, that wasn't the case on Thursday thanks to Addison Hummel. The Penn Kingsmen walked away with a 45-35 win over the Elkhart Lions thanks in part to Hummel, who went 6 for 8 on her way to 18 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Those 18 points gave her a new career-high.

Penn is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Elkhart, they moved to 10-7 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Penn will venture away from home to challenge Northridge at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Elkhart, they will welcome Homestead at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
