Recap: Banner County Wildcats vs. Minatare Indians
Even though the Banner County Wildcats have not done well against the Minatare Indians recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Banner County walked away with a 50-39 win over Minatare. The victory was nothing new for Banner County as they're now sitting on three straight.
Banner County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brendyn Onstott, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Onstott has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Parsons, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Banner County's win bumped their record up to 4-13. As for Minatare, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.
Banner County will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Sioux County at 1:00 p.m. Sioux County is coming into the match with eight straight victories on the road, so Banner County is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum. As for Minatare, they will face off against Cody-Kilgore at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Cody-Kilgore has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 193 points over their last three matchups.
