St. Bernard entered their tilt with Old Lyme on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 9-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Saints, who have now won three games by seven runs or more so far this season.

St. Bernard's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Old Lyme, they dropped their record down to 4-7 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. St. Bernard will take on University at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.63 runs per game on average), something the Saints will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Old Lyme, they will square off against Granby Memorial at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
