Basketball Recap: Perspectives-IIT/Joslin Comes Up Short

If Perspectives-IIT/Joslin was riding high fresh off their 50-8 takedown of Back of the Yards College Prep on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Perspectives-IIT/Joslin Wolves were beaten by the Perspectives Leadership/Technology Warriors 59-26 on Saturday. The Wolves were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-16.

Leading Perspectives Leadership/Technology to victory were Catrina Sanders and Karla Thomas. Sanders posted 14 points in addition to seven assists and six steals, while Thomas dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards. The contest was Thomas' third in a row with at least ten points. Kaylin Morgan was another key player, putting up seven points and three steals.

Perspectives-IIT/Joslin's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Perspectives Leadership/Technology, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Perspectives-IIT/Joslin is taking a road trip to square off against Thornridge at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Perspectives-IIT/Joslin's defense has only allowed 26.2 points per game this season, so Thornridge's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Perspectives Leadership/Technology, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Southland College Prep at 5:00 p.m. on February 11th.
