Boone Grove won against Griffith on Saturday with 12 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Wolves were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Morgan Township Cherokees. The Wolves haven't had any issues with the Cherokees recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Jordyn Botma was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Botma was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mercedes Szakacs, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Olivia Treece, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Boone Grove kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matches they've averaged 11.6.

Boone Grove's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Morgan Township, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
