Volleyball Game Preview: St. Joseph Jayhawks vs. Altamont Longhorns

The St. Joseph Jayhawks will square off against the Altamont Longhorns at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Joseph will be strutting in after a win while Altamont will be coming in after a defeat.

On Thursday, St. Joseph beat Manila 3-1. The Jayhawks haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

St. Joseph was especially dominant in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 23-25, 25-13, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Altamont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Duchesne, falling 3-0.

Altamont was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Duchesne work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-14, 25-16.

St. Joseph's win bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Altamont, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-15.

St. Joseph beat Altamont 3-1 when the teams last played back in September. Do the Jayhawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Longhorns turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
