Baseball Game Preview: South Webster Jeeps vs. Piketon Redstreaks

The South Webster Jeeps are taking a road trip to square off against the Piketon Redstreaks at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. South Webster's pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so Piketon's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

South Webster's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Glenwood as they made off with a 12-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Jeeps.

Northwest typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Piketon proved too difficult a challenge. They skirted past the Mohawks 5-3. The win continues a trend for the Redstreaks in their matchups with the Mohawks: they've now won seven in a row.

South Webster's record is now 17-7. As for Piketon, their record now sits at 8-14-1.

South Webster came up short against Piketon in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, falling 6-3. Can the Jeeps avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
