Colonel Crawford took a nine-run loss the last time they faced off against Wynford, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Eagles came out on top in a nail-biter against the Royals on Friday, sneaking past 8-7. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 15-6 victory the Royals walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

The win made it two in a row for Colonel Crawford and bumps their season record up to 8-12. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch. As for Wynford, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Colonel Crawford is set to face off against their familiar foe Seneca East at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Wynford will challenge rival Buckeye Central at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
