Basketball Recap: Klein Wins Going Away Against Waller

Klein won the last time they faced Waller and things went their way on Friday too. The Klein Bearkats ended the year with a bang, routing the Waller Bulldogs 69-46. Given the Bearkats' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 460th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 1222nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Klein is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-10 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.6 points per game. As for Waller, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-18.

Klein and Lamar will face off at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Lamar has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-2 during that stretch of close contests. As for Waller, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Jersey Village at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
