It was a good run, but Marana unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Wednesday. They came up short against the Corona del Sol Aztecs, falling 3-0. The Tigers were not able to make up for their loss to the Aztecs from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-15, 25-14.

Among those leading the charge was Erin Clark, who had 13 digs and two assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last five games she's played. Aubrey Butterfield also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Marana's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Corona del Sol, they pushed their record up to 22-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Marana didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Sunnyside on the 2nd. As for Corona del Sol, they will be taking part in a tournament against Shadow Ridge at 9:00 a.m. on the 10th.
