Volleyball Recap: Wesleyan Wolves vs. Mount Paran Christian Eagles
Wesleyan lost against Mount Paran Christian back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wolves fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1.
Kyra Fragakis paced Wesleyan's offense, picking up nine kills. Fragakis got some help from Caroline Stickney and her 15 assists. Finally, Emma Jane Gillis kept Wesleyan's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.
Mount Paran Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Avery Kohler out in front who had 22 assists and three digs. That's the most digs Kohler has posted over her last four games. Nola Belle Schoenborn was another key player, getting four digs and four aces.
Wesleyan's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Mount Paran Christian, their win bumped their record up to 22-9.
Wesleyan has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Walker on the 15th. As for Mount Paran Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against St. Francis on the 15th.
