Volleyball Recap: Mt. Pleasant Comes Up Short

Mt. Pleasant was the 3-0 winner over Achievement First Providence when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Kilties fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Kilties have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Mt. Pleasant sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-18, 14-25, 25-17, 24-26, 15-11.

Mt. Pleasant's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Achievement First Providence, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mt. Pleasant will face off against Burrillville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Achievement First Providence, they will challenge Exeter-West Greenwich at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons are facing the Scarlet Knights at the right time seeing as the Scarlet Knights are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
