Soccer Game Preview: Westside vs. Callaway

Westside is 0-3 against Callaway since March of 2025 but things could change on Monday. The Seminoles will head out to face off against the Cavaliers at 7:30 p.m. Westside has given up an average of 6.4 goals per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Westside managed to keep up with Pike County until halftime on Saturday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Seminoles came up short against the Pirates, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, Westside can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 396th, while Pike County are ranked 155th).

Meanwhile, Callaway waltzed into their match last Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Bulldogs. That's two games straight that Callaway have won by just one goal.

Callaway's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Westside, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Westside might still be hurting after the 6-2 loss they got from Callaway when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can the Seminoles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
